  • Getting Your Groove On

I recently switched up my Monday workout routine to include a bit of swag and I'm loving every minute of it. Now -I don't dread working out - I'm pretty lucky in that regard - but there are some days where I'm just not feeling it. There's nothing worse than suffering through a workout... except maybe not doing one at all and that is why, ladies and gents, I'm excited to say I've found my solution.

    Hip Hop.

I know this isn't for everyone and trust me, I had to swallow my pride a bit especially considering my group workout class is front and center at the gym where pretty much all my friends work out... but it's a blast. My point with this post is twofold. You have to let go of your pride. Just breathe it in and exhale it out, all the way out. Second of all, you have to find what you like. That might be running or spinning or walking but it might also be something you don't know how to do already. It might be pole dancing or a certain kind of yoga or pilates or jazzercise or, in my case, hip hop.

Get your groove on kids - for we work out in order to leave healthy lives. No one said we weren't allowed to have fun doing it.
