Woody Austin (born January 27, 1964) is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Austin was born in Tampa, Florida and graduated from the University of Miami in 1986 with a degree in Business Administration. He turned professional in 1986 and currently resides in Derby, Kansas with his wife and two children.

Woody won Rookie of the Year honors on the PGA TOUR in 1995. He has won three times on tour: the 1995 Buick Open, the 2004 Buick Championship, and the 2007 Stanford St. Jude Championship (shooting a final round 62). During the 2007 Presidents Cup, Austin fell into a pond while attempting to hit a shot with one foot in the water, which earned him the nickname of “Aquaman”. Aquaman has referred to as “hero” of the President’s Cup as the USA went on to defeat the International team and win the Presidents Cup!

At the 2007 PGA Championship, Austin finished in 2nd behind Tiger Woods, which is his best Major finish. This achievement moved Austin into the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings. He has surpassed $13,000,000 in career earnings which places him 60th among active PGA Tour players. Woody was inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame in 2008 and is still playing some of the best golf of his career.

GREATEST VITALYTE VICTORY

The 2007 PGA Championship was the hottest major championship on record, where temperatures reached a scorching 103 degrees. Thanks to Vitalyte, Woody Austin was able to brave the heat, while battling Tiger Woods all the way to the finish. While other golfers struggled with deydration caused by these high temperatures, Woody’s game was unaffected… Thanks to Vitalyte!
